The Wilmington Greyhounds will venture away from home to face off against the Laurel Spartans at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Wilmington is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season.
Wilmington will bounce into Saturday's game after beating Hickory, who they had gone 0-6 against in their six prior meetings. Wilmington came out on top against Hickory by a score of 9-5 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Greyhounds.
Kayden Wygant was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. He also put up two RBI, which were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brodie Dewberry, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
