If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Bethel. They will take on Stadium at home at 7:00 PM on Friday. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
If Bethel were riding high off their 48-19 takedown of Mount Tahoma two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Bethel found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 14-41 punch to the gut against Lakes last Thursday. A silver lining for Bethel was the play of junior Puka Sokimi, who rushed for 89 yards and 1 touchdown.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Stadium, and their game last Friday only extended their streak of losses to four. They took a serious blow against Lincoln, falling 6-61. Stadium were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-47.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the win. With four turnovers, Bethel had trouble holding onto the ball. We'll see if Stadium exploit that vulnerability.
