There's no place like home for Hickory, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Tuesday. They walked away with  an   8-4  victory over the West Iredell Warriors  on Friday. That's more bragging rights for Hickory, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

 At the plate,  Ellis Chappell was a standout: he went 2-for-5 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.  Brady Stober was another key contributor,  going 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  RBI,  and a  double.
 On West Iredell's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Talen Caton, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Eli Josey, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Hickory's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for West Iredell, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost eight of their last ten contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record  this season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hickory will take on East Lincoln at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for West Iredell, they will be playing at home against North Lincoln at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday.
