Given Antonian Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while Concordia Lutheran is ranked 606th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, St. Thomas Catholic can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past St. Pius X 42-21.
Johann Cardenas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 244 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry, and also picking up 33 receiving yards. Cardenas hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for seven straight games.
Antonian Prep's victory was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-1. As for St. Thomas Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.
We should be in store for an exciting game Friday as both teams have no problem gaining yardage. Antonian Prep has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 371 total yards per game. However, it's not like St. Thomas Catholic struggles in that department as they've been even better at 516.8 per game. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
