Nuniwarmiut has struggled against Nelson Island recently, as their match on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Nelson Island found their leader in underclassman Kelsey Angaiak, who scored 16 points. Rosie Carl was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Nuniwarmiut's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Nelson Island, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-5.
