Moline has gone a perfect 10-0 against Quincy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Maroons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Moline turned things around against Alleman on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Pioneers with a sharp 11-1 victory. The Maroons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.
Kayley Reynolds made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Reynolds was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gianna DeLeon, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles and one RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Lilliman, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Moline was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Quincy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over Galesburg on Tuesday. That nine run margin sets a new team best for the Blue Devils this season.
Quincy got a massive performance out of Maycee Seward, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those stolen bases marked the first that Seward has snagged this season. Ariana Adorno was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
Moline's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Quincy, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11.
Moline took their win against Quincy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-1 score. Will the Maroons repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
