Cameron Belton threw for four touchdowns as
Northmont (Clayton, Ohio) beat Fairborn (Ohio) 58-16 on Saturday.
The Thunderbolts were up 35-9 at the half after taking the lead on a field goal by
Cody Rice in the first quarter.
Northmont expanded its lead to 42 points entering the fourth quarter. NHS scored four times in the third, including once on a
Isaiah Brown touchdown run.
Belton and
Dominique Stollings teamed up to form a dynamic passing combination. Stollings has now caught three touchdowns this season.
Belton played well for the Clayton school in the victory. The senior quarterback ran for one touchdown.
The victory was a step in the right direction for the Thunderbolts, which was coming off a 17-14 defeat at the hands of Lakota East in its previous game. The victory snapped Northmont's 2-game losing streak.
Fairborn (1-3) will play a non-conference game against Beavercreek next week, while Northmont (2-2) will take on Dunbar also in a non-conference game.
