Alejandro Perez and Andres Perez provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Milken. The connection was good for 65 yards, the longest such play in Sunset (8 Man) this season.
St. Joseph Academy's Jerry Gambrell rumbled for the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against Lutheran last week. Gambrell scampered for 70 yards on the play and finished with 130 on the day as his team bested the Knights.
Ocean View Christian's dynamic duo of Perez and Perez proved tough for the Wildcats to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Perez threw for 143 yards and two touchdowns and Perez had 98 yards receiving. Josh Smith helped Ocean View Christian's passing attack out by catching two balls for 23 yards.
Warner's daniel streamer and Matt Evans have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Streamer has thrown for 394 yards this season, while Evans, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 13 catches for 227 yards. Smith from the Patriots leads the league in rushing with 548 yards.
St. Joseph Academy was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in Sunset (8 Man). Earlier in the week, Tom Davis's team triumphed over Lutheran 86-32.
