Bastrop had a rough outing against Brother Martin three weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Bastrop took their match against Franklin Parish last Friday by a conclusive 47-20 score. Followers of Bastrop probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.
Meanwhile, West Ouachita might have drawn first blood against Neville, but it was Neville who got the last laugh. West Ouachita suffered a grim 21-54 defeat to Neville. West Ouachita were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 7-34.
Bastrop didn't have too much trouble with West Ouachita the last time the two teams met as they won 38-23. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bastrop since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
