Stevenson had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it 13 on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Belleville Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won 21 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Stevenson's win was their 13th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-8-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Belleville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Stevenson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-1 win against Cass Tech on the 16th. Belleville has also already played their next contest (against Pioneer), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
