Cobden is 10-0 against Egyptian since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Cobden Appleknockers have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Egyptian Pharaohs at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
On Tuesday, Cobden blew past Shawnee, posting a 63-36 win at home. The victory was just what Cobden needed coming off of a 75-32 loss in their prior contest.
Even though Egyptian has not done well against Agape Christian recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Egyptian came out on top against Agape Christian by a score of 56-45. The win was just what Egyptian needed coming off of a 95-63 loss in their prior contest.
Brandon Plott continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 18 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Egyptian's points. Another player making a difference was Damarion Clark, who scored 20 points.
Cobden's win bumped their record up to 14-15. As for Egyptian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-20 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Cobden against Egyptian when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 53-24 victory. Does Cobden have another victory up their sleeve, or will Egyptian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
