Masconomet Regional took down Lynn English 39-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Chieftains led Cape Ann/Northeastern - Division 1 in scoring this week after putting up 39 points on the Bulldogs.
Masconomet Regional's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Chieftains feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Chris Schleer has thrown for 446 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Troy Bunker has 10 catches for 141 yards. Mike Tivinis leads the league in rushing with 379 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Masconomet Regional takes on Revere. At the moment, James Pugh's team is in first, while the Patriots are in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Chieftains take on Revere. Masconomet Regional has allowed 141 points this season, while Louis Cicatelli's team has given up 155. The Chieftains allowed 7 points last week as they bested Lynn English.
Masconomet Regional made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,991 from 3,389. The advance stemmed from a 39-7 victory over Peter Holey's team last week.
