After three games on the road, Arlington Heights is heading back home. They will take on the South Hills Scorpions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Arlington Heights is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than South Hills in Texas (Arlington Heights is ranked 402nd, while South Hills is ranked 1484th).
Last Friday, Arlington Heights came up short against Connally and fell 43-30.
Meanwhile, South Hills had to endure a 17-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged Monahans out 34-31. The win was just what South Hills needed coming off of a 44-19 loss in their prior game.
South Hills relied on the efforts of Jocelyn Rockingham, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals, and Lili Hernandez, who scored 8 points along with 12 rebounds. Hernandez hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games.
The losses dropped Arlington Heights to 5-4 and Connally to 7-5.
Everything came up roses for Arlington Heights against South Hills in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 57-17 win. Does Arlington Heights have another victory up their sleeve, or will South Hills turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
