The East Leopards can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 54-46 win over West. The victory was just what East needed coming off of a 58-35 defeat in their prior matchup.
West's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chachi Pan, who scored nine points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Phillip Ladua, who scored eight points.
East's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8. As for West, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
East will be playing in front of their home fans against Olympus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Olympus presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than East in Utah (Olympus is ranked seventh, while East is ranked 63rd). As for West, they will head out on the road to square off against Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Skyline focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
