After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Saratoga, Cupertino was happy to have turned things around  on Friday. They put the hurt on the Fremont Firebirds with a sharp  14-6 victory. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Pioneers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

 Jasmyne Llanos made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and four unearned) runs off   six  hits. Llanos was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3. What's more,  she posted three  RBI, the most she's  had since back in April of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Shelby Apostolo was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, seven  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  seven  RBI gave  her a new career-high.  Dayoung Jung was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-5.
 Cupertino  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 15  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
Cupertino's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Fremont,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-5.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cupertino will welcome El Primero  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Fremont, they will be playing at home against MacDonald  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. MacDonald has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.2  runs per game on average), something Fremont will no doubt try to take advantage of.
