Rivercrest can  bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game  on Tuesday. They blew past the Manila Lions 16-1. The Colts' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 Katelyn Ostendorf was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. That's the fewest  hits  she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news, Rivercrest got a  massive  performance out of  Emme Weldon, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. Those  RBI marked the first that  Weldon  brought in this season.  Addison Johnson was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

 Looking ahead, Rivercrest is taking a road trip to  challenge Walnut Ridge  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Walnut Ridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6  runs per game  this season. As for Manila, they will be playing at home against East Poinsett County  at 2:00  p.m.  on Monday.
