The Geibel Catholic Gators had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were beaten by Punxsutawney 76-31.
Geibel Catholic's loss came despite strong showings from Gary Tarbuk and Seth Dolan. Tarbuk scored 12 points, while Dolan scored 9 points.
Geibel Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Punxsutawney, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Geibel Catholic will take on Cheswick Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Punxsutawney, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Johnsonburg at 7:00 p.m.
