Basketball Recap: Westside Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Westside put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past the Trumann Wildcats with points to spare, taking the game 63-48. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Westside was led to victory by Koby Thompson and Micah Dew. Thompson shot 58% from the field on his way to 27 points and six boards, while Dew went 9-for-14 to rack up 21 points and seven rebounds. With that strong performance, Thompson is now averaging an impressive 16 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Webb, who posted two points and five rebounds.

Westside's win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Westside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 81-56 victory against Southland on the 22nd. As for Trumann, they will square off against Gosnell at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
