El Capitan/Centennial Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kamryn Crider, who scored 12 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rachel Musser, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Ash Fork has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season. As for El Capitan/Centennial Academy, they pushed their record up to 15-7 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ash Fork will challenge the Phantoms at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Arizona (Grand Canyon is ranked 256th, while the Spartans are ranked 267th). As for El Capitan/Centennial Academy, they will head out on the road to take on the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
