After a string of 11 wins, Carrollton's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Morton Potters.

Hadley Lake paced Carrollton's offense, picking up five kills. Lake got some help from Landry Robeen and her ten assists.

Carrollton's defeat dropped their record down to 23-5-1. As for Morton, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-3 record this season.

Carrollton and Morton should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Hawks will take on Gillespie at 6:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (154 vs. 427). Meanwhile, Morton (ranked 15th) will meet Dunlap (ranked 78th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
