Basketball Recap: Konos Academy Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Konos Academy was the 66-61 winner over Trinity Christian School of Griffin when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Konos Academy Condor took a 63-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trinity Christian School of Griffin LIONS on Tuesday. The Condor have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Konos Academy lost, don't look at Joshua Knapp. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 boards. Those 25 points gave Knapp a new career-high. Caleb Knapp was another key player, putting up eight points.

Trinity Christian School of Griffin got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Israel Lockridge out in front who posted 12 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Lockridge is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least five every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Travone Appling, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards.

Konos Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-10. As for Trinity Christian School of Griffin, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Konos Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-58 defeat against New Creation Christian Academy on the 16th. Trinity Christian School of Griffin has also already played their next match, a 68-44 win against Skipstone Academy on the 16th.
