Last Tuesday, Harrison Central didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against D'Iberville, but they still walked away with a 48-44 win. Given Harrison Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while D'Iberville is ranked 125th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Aujaylen Barron continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points. His trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Jashun McMillian, who scored seven points along with two blocks.
Meanwhile, Ocean Springs earned a 45-33 win over St. Martin on Friday. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Ocean Springs has scored all year.
Harrison Central has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for Ocean Springs, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-4.
