On Saturday, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte beat Dupree 61-48.
Cheyenne-Eagle Butte got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dayson Kennedy out in front who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Levi Elk nation, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Cheyenne-Eagle Butte's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Dupree, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.
Cheyenne-Eagle Butte will head out on the road to face off against Miller at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Miller is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Dupree will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Harding County at 5:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
