Rich Township hasn't had much luck against Crete-Monee recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Raptors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Rich Township comes in on three and Crete-Monee on four.
On Thursday, Rich Township got the win against Thornton by a conclusive 18-4. The result was nothing new for the Raptors, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Jesiah Dawson made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Rich Township is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 8-11 otherwise. Dawson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.
In other batting news, Gio Rivera was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. He has become a key player for Rich Township: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 8-11 otherwise.
Meanwhile, Crete-Monee was able to grind out a solid victory over Argo on Saturday, taking the game 4-1.
Christopher Schubbe looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Timothy Gaddis, who went 3-for-4 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.
Crete-Monee pushed their record up to 16-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Rich Township, their win bumped their record up to 11-12.
Rich Township couldn't quite finish off Crete-Monee in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 and fell 10-8. Will the Raptors have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
