The Winslow Township Eagles extended their postseason success on Friday against the Hammonton Blue Devils. They breezed by the Blue Devils on the road to the tune of 33-6. Winslow Township might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six matches by 27 points or more this season.
Leading Winslow Township to victory were Cam Miller and Deante Ruffin. Miller picked up 185 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Ruffin threw for 348 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 16.6 yards per attempt. Miller's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards. Nyqir Helton did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 85 receiving yards.
Despite the loss, Hammonton still got an impressive performance from Kenny Smith, who rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown.
The win (which was Winslow Township's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.5 points per game. As for Hammonton, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Winslow Township will be playing at home against Long Branch at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hammonton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
