The Middleton Vikings were the 52-29 winner over the Kuna Kavemen when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Middleton fell just short of Kuna by a score of 53-51. Middleton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Middleton's lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Elsie Wyatt, who scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoey Blackwell, who scored 14 points along with 6 steals.
Middleton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Kuna, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Middleton will head out on the road to face off against Highland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Highland is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Kuna, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Borah at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
