The Belgreen Bulldogs stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 56-33 margin over Vina. Given Belgreen's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while Vina is ranked 363rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Vina lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kaley Attaway, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds and two steals. Layla Hester was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with four steals.
Belgreen's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Vina, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-14.
Belgreen will be playing in front of their home fans against Hackleburg at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Hackleburg focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Tuesday. As for Vina, they will head out on the road to face off against Cullman Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
