The Delavan Panthers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Mt. Pulaski Hilltoppers at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Delavan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Delavan beat Lewistown 39-30.
Cooper Hansen and Micah Brockhouse were among the main playmakers for Delavan as the former scored ten points along with seven assists and the latter scored 13 points along with two steals. Matt Behrends was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Mt. Pulaski unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 49-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central.
The victory got Delavan back to even at 11-11. As for Mt. Pulaski, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.
Everything went Delavan's way against Mt. Pulaski when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as Delavan made off with a 53-31 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Delavan since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
