Baseball Recap: Narraguagus Has No Trouble Against Sumner

Narraguagus won the last time they faced Sumner and things went their way on Friday too. The Knights blew past the Tigers 13-1. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by ten runs or more this season.

Brody Robertson made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Narraguagus let Miles Worcester and Manny Absalom run wild. Worcester went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run, while Absalom went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Max Worcester was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Narraguagus and bumps their season record up to 12-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Sumner, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Narraguagus will square off against George Stevens Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sumner, they will take on Bangor Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
