A feisty cat fight will be fought as Trinity Christian Academy Lions challenge Halls Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Trinity Christian Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Bolivar Central on Tuesday. They lost 10-2 to the Tigers.

Abby Davis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Meanwhile, Halls got themselves on the board against West Carroll on Tuesday, but West Carroll never followed suit. They put the hurt on the War Eagles with a sharp 12-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Carrlee Riddick made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with four RBI.

In other batting news, Jayla Cobb was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4. Rayna Watkins was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Halls' win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Trinity Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Trinity Christian Academy took their victory against Halls in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 10-2. Will Trinity Christian Academy repeat their success, or does Halls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
