Fans got a thrill when Scott Beumel and Dewayne Shorter 3rd connected against Kennedy. The connection went for 90 yards, the longest such play in DCIAA - Stars this season.
Dunbar added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Ballou, 27-0. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Crimson Tide.
Chrisdeion Alston threw for 240 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 14-22 with 0 interception.
Malonta Patterson was the best running back in the league this week. In 19 carries, he ran for 167 yards as Dunbar bested the Cavaliers. Alston also contributed to the rushing game with 14 yards on the ground.
Dunbar's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Crimson Tide feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Alston has thrown for 734 yards and 8 touchdowns this season, while Delonte Matthews has 14 catches for 261 yards.
The marquee game in DCIAA - Stars this week will be the clash between Anacostia and Coolidge. The Indians enters the contest ranked 16th in the state, while the Colts ranks 20th.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when Jerron Joe's team and the Tigers face off next week.
There should be lots of points scored when Wilson and the Crimson Tide face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Mark Martin's team comes in having scored 77 this season, while Dunbar has scored 144. The Tigers scored 21 points last week as they topped Kennedy.
Woodson took down Anacostia 54-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
