The High Point Wildcats''s game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They took down Morris Catholic 26-7. High Point pushed the score to 20-0 by the end of the third, a deficit Morris Catholic cut but never quite recovered from.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead High Point to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mason Mericle, who rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Slade Muller, who picked up 36 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
High Point's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Morris Catholic, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
High Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Morris Catholic also has no future games currently scheduled.
