Hayesville has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Eastern Randolph Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hayesville had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past Christ the King 28-0 at home. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Hayesville had established a 21 point advantage.
Taylor Mcclure and Tre Graves were among the main playmakers for Hayesville as the former rushed for 55 yards and two touchdowns and the latter rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
Meanwhile, Eastern Randolph entered their tilt with Cherryville with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. Eastern Randolph simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Cherryville 68-7 at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 54-7.
Carter Revelle got back to being his usual excellent self, as he threw for 209 yards and three touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Their wins bumped Hayesville to 7-4 and Eastern Randolph to 10-1.
