Churchill County was led to victory by Karlie J. Simper and Amillya Bishop. Simper went 7 of 12 on her way to 15 points and six steals, while Bishop went 7 for 10 en route to 17 points. Simper has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 15 times she's played. Kortnie B. Simper was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.
Defeat or not, Spring Creek got some senior leadership from Rhiwan Williams and Isabel Zubiria. Williams posted seven points and five boards, while Zubiria had three points. Karli Nichols also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Churchill County's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.2 points per game.
