Softball Recap: Central's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Central came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 19-1 margin over the Hope Blue Wave. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Central got a big performance out of Stasy Baez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Ray Rivas, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. They are 10-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Central's record now sits at 11-5. As for Hope, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Central will square off against rival Times Squared Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Hope is set to challenge their familiar foe Juanita Sanchez Complex at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
