Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Rocklin's Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Rocklin can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Mater Dei Monarchs on Saturday. The Thunder's loss signaled the end of their 15-game winning streak.

Gianna Bogan paced Rocklin's offense, picking up ten kills. Bogan got some help from Ava Pabalate and her 21 assists. Sophie Burns controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Mater Dei was led to victory by Lizzy Robinson and Sam Capinpin. Robinson had 13 digs and two aces, while Capinpin had 21 assists and six digs. That's the most assists Capinpin has posted since back in September.

Rocklin's defeat dropped their record down to 37-5. As for Mater Dei, they are on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 21 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 35-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Rocklin nor Mater Dei have any future games scheduled.
