Mitchell has gone a perfect 4-0 against Nature Coast Tech recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Mustangs will challenge the Sharks at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Mitchell had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Springstead on Monday. The Mustangs were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Eagles. The victory was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on five straight.

Savannah Toukatly made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with six RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Mya Brown was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Hencz, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Nature Coast Tech made easy work of Weeki Wachee on Friday and carried off a 12-2 win.
Kamryn Ross spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Nature Coast Tech got a massive performance out of Athena Brown, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Miranda Wiemer was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.
Nature Coast Tech hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in four consecutive games.
Nature Coast Tech now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Mitchell, their record now sits at 19-5.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mitchell hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .359. However, it's not like Nature Coast Tech struggles in that department as they've averaged .317. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Mitchell was able to grind out a solid victory over Nature Coast Tech in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 5-1. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Sharks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
