The Hope Christian Academy Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Parkway Christian on the road and fell 61-34. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hope Christian Academy has scored all season.
Parkway Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nathaniel Harrison-lizbinski led the charge by shooting 4-for-6 from long range and dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tyler Powers, who scored 16 points along with four steals and two blocks.
Hope Christian Academy bumped their record down to 2-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Parkway Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-7.
Hope Christian Academy will head out on the road to take on Rudolf Steiner at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Parkway Christian, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Lutheran is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.5 points per game.
