It was a good run, but the Tate Aggies unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 68-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Milton. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Tate lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Evan Bignell, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Bignell is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaquan Mcdonald, who scored 14 points.
Tate's defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6. As for Milton, their victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tate's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Pace at 12:30 p.m. on January 20th. Pace is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Milton, they will be playing at home against Pensacola at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pensacola will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 396th, while Milton is ranked 113th).
