After a string of four wins, the Chicago Washington Patriots's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They were beaten by Horizon Science Academy-Southwest 61-25. Having soared to a lofty 72 points in the game before, Chicago Washington couldn't push the score so high this time.
Horizon Science Academy-Southwest's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marlon Williams, who scored seven points along with 31 rebounds. Williams is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahmet Unal, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Chicago Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Horizon Science Academy-Southwest, they pushed their record up to 20-7 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home.
