After three games on the road, McDermitt is heading back home. They will take on the Jackpot Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McDermitt's defense has only allowed 29.2 points per game this season, so Jackpot's offense will have their work cut out for them.
McDermitt can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lund 82-46 on the road. McDermitt's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
McDermitt's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kiarra Crutcher led the charge by scoring 21 points. Crutcher continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadie Hinkey, who scored 20 points.
Meanwhile, sadly, Jackpot is still looking for their first win of the season after 15 matches. They were dealt a 52-12 defeat at the hands of Owyhee on Saturday. Jackpot was down 38-9 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
McDermitt is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Jackpot, they dropped their record down to 0-15 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for McDermitt against Jackpot when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 58-14 win. Will McDermitt repeat their success, or does Jackpot have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
