Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Hamilton should expect quite the challenge on Thursday. It's a road trip for them as they take on Manassas at 7:00 PM. Both of those teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
After soaring to 48 points the game before, Hamilton faltered in their match last Friday. They took a serious blow against Early last Friday, falling 7-48. Hamilton were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 7-34.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-42, which was the final score in Manassas's tilt against St. Benedict at Auburndale. Manassas were down by 0-42 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous game, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
