Aaron Hall was his usual excellent self, rushing for 101 yards and three TDs on only eight carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Shawn Davis helped out on the ground, rushing for 93 yards.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Clinton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They breezed past South Lenoir to the tune of 42-14 on Friday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-6.
Clinton found their leader in sophomore Gavin Miller, who rushed for 76 yards and three scores on only nine carries. Those three rushing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Miller. Miles McCallop was another key player, throwing for 152 yards and one touchdown.
The win made it two in a row for East Duplin and bumps their season record up to 5-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.5 points over those games. As for Clinton, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
East Duplin won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, slipping by Clinton 28-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
