Metter never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Claxton as they made off with an 18-0 win. Considering Metter has won eight matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Metter's fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-11. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Claxton, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

Coming up, Metter will venture away from home to face off against Statesboro at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Claxton will be paying especially close attention to Metter's game: after Metter faces off against Statesboro, they'll take on Claxton again at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
