Griffin put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 54-48 W against the St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings. Those 54 points were actually the fewest the Bears have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

When it comes to explaining why St. Anne-Pacelli lost, don't look at Mikehi Williams. Despite the final result, he shot 69% from the field on his way to 26 points and five rebounds. Williams' big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Matthew Melvin was another key player, putting up ten points along with seven boards and five assists.

Griffin's victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Griffin will head out to challenge Houston County at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, they will challenge Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
