The Fort Wayne Snider Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Fort Wayne North Side Legends at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Wayne North Side took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Fort Wayne Snider, who comes in off a win.
Fort Wayne Snider took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 24-3 margin over Lakewood Park Christian. Fort Wayne Snider's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Ameera Kummer and Makayla Stone made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Kummer pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Stone struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Kummer has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Kummer got on base in four of her five plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and one triple, while Stone went 3-for-5 with four RBI. Those five runs gave Kummer a new career-high.
In other batting news, Ella Houser was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Lily Ryan was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Fort Wayne Snider hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lakewood Park Christian struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, Fort Wayne North Side was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 10-1 to Hamilton.
Ashlyn Maple made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one double. Kiera Hancock also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Fort Wayne Snider's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Fort Wayne North Side, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
Fort Wayne Snider took their win against Fort Wayne North Side when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
