Neuse Christian Academy suffered their biggest loss since November 16, 2023 on Friday. They were dealt a 84-54 defeat at the hands of Thales Academy Apex. Neuse Christian Academy has struggled against Thales Academy Apex recently, as their matchup on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Neuse Christian Academy had strong showings from Aiden Graham, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two blocks, and Josh Martin, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds. Martin hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for eight straight games. Westin Tilley was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Friendship Christian by a score of 57-50.
Kyren Smith was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points along with five rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Kim, who scored ten points.
Neuse Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.
