The Indian Trail Hawks and the St. Catherine's Angels will round out the year against one another at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday at. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Indian Trail unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of Westosha Central by a score of 58-56.
Despite the defeat, Indian Trail got a solid performance out of Mj Stackhouse, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 19 rebounds. Stackhouse scored a full 53.6% of Indian Trail's points, the ninth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Konrad Anderson, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, St. Catherine's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 67-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cedarburg.
Indian Trail's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for St. Catherine's, they have fallen quite a ways from their 26-2 record last season and are now at 1-5.
Indian Trail was able to grind out a solid win over St. Catherine's when the teams last played back in December of 2014, winning 54-47. Will Indian Trail repeat their success, or does St. Catherine's have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
