Fans got a thrill when Stuckey Mosley and Zack Rutledge connected against East River. The longest such play in 8A District 3 this season, the connection resulted in 66 yards.
Winter Park and Ocoee played the closest game in the league this week, with Winter Park eventually emerging with a 19-14 victory.
Mosley put up the best numbers in passing as Timber Creek bested the Falcons. He had a total of 4 completions for 100 yards.
CHRIS DAVIS JR provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Oviedo defeated Lake Howell. He completed 14 passes for 147 yards and also ran for 60 yards.
JURELL GREEN was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 157 yards on 19 carries as the Lions beat the Silver Hawks.
DAVIS JR was the best receiver in 8A District 3 this week as Oviedo defeated Lake Howell. KYLE PANAGIOTOU helped Oviedo's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 46 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Rutledge. The Timber Creek star has 4 catches for 112 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Winter Park takes on second place University. The Wildcats bested the Knights last week, while University beat Boone.
Hagerty fell to Winter Springs 36-20 last week, the largest margin of any game.
