Make it ten blowout wins for the Rapides Mustangs this season. They blew past Monterey 64-31 on the road. The win was nothing new for Rapides as they're now sitting on four straight.
Jaydan Wilson was a one-man wrecking crew for Rapides as he dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Wilson pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sheldrick Vall, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Rapides has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for Monterey, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
Rapides will be playing at home against Avoyelles Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monterey, they will head out on the road to take on Alexandria Country Day at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Alexandria Country Day is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
